Development of the Space Shuttle began in 1972, and the craft designed to connect the earth to outer space enjoyed a 30-year career between its first successful test flight in 1981 and its retirement in 2011. It was a truly multi-mission craft, over its 135 launches taking modules to the International Space Station, releasing satellites, and even hosting experiments in its onboard lab. Five shuttles were built in total.   

 

About the Model
★This is a 1/100 scale plastic model assembly kit. Length: 373mm, width: 238mm. ★Model can be assembled to depict initial flight or final flight (July 2011). ★Details such as flight deck interior and main engine are depicted with aplomb. ★Choose open or closed payload bay hatches, with plated parts for interior panel. ★6 sets of markings include those for Enterprise. ★Comes with two astronaut figures and a display stand.
